This song includes all the elements that make Disney music feel so magical and nostalgic – a recognisable melody with a bit of sparkle! In Christy-Lyn’s arrangement she includes the lovely jazzy chords that give this song flavour, adding in rich rolled chords and some twinkly high notes sprinkled in. And surprisingly, this is all achieved without any lever changes!

I like this piece because I have added a few extra notes in the bass to make it sound a bit more full and advanced. I’ll try to record it sometime and share the additions.

I’ve been striving to go from late beginner to early intermediate and this is the one piece that helped me accomplish just that! Placing the fingers according to the brackets was my biggest challenge and I still need to work on fluency. This is a piece that has parts that are soft and gradually get louder. I tend to play the soft parts a little bit slower. As the sound builds I tend to go slightly faster. Not sure it was meant to be played that way but I think of it as my interpretation. I have learned it well enough that my daughter said, “Is that Beauty and the Beast?” It’s nice that someone recognized it through my playing. 🙂

Beautiful arrangement, excellent lessons with lots of demonstration and advice. I’ve learned the LH 4-finger rolled chords for the first time, plus there’s lots of exciting placing/shapes, hands moving quickly, etc. Labeled as “early intermediate”, a late beginner can handle this. Further, it sounds more complicated than it is, so is impressive even if you are advanced. I love this course and the song, still need a lot of practice, but this is definitely a 5-star course.

Love this arrangement, it was easy for me to learn, and slow enough for me to concentrate on my finger placement (always a challenge for me). I shall continue practicing along with you on the practice video, i find those a great way to improve my playing. Thank you for making these wonderful videos, I’ve learned so much since i started your courses.

Beautiful arrangement. A couple of repeat lines in the music helps learn the piece faster. The most difficult section is E, which involves quick finger placing of 4 notes in both hands. It requires practice, practice, practice, same as all new music pieces. Thank you for the challenge and lovely Christmas song.

Thank you once again for an easy to follow course. Completed but still work in practice with the roll chords. Can’t wait to choose another course next month.

This was not stressful at all and very lovely arrangement. I really enjoyed this one! The chords were so pleasing to learn. Still practicing and doing the slow play-through. It wasn’t very hard either. Thanks so much. You did a wonderful job on the arranging. 🙂

Thank you Christy-Lyn for bringing such a beautiful arrangement of this song to my harp playing! The lessons are easy to follow, and I felt like I was making good progress the whole way through. The rolled chords are so beautiful, and the lessons for this piece taught me how to prepare for the 4-note chords and play them confidently. So excited to have learned the notes and to be moving on to “polishing”!

Lovely arrangement and very well doable for early intermediate harp players. I would advise to study with the video course. Really feels like you are having your private teacher.

This is another one of Christy-Lynn’s beautiful arrangements that made me stop everything (housework and grocery shopping) to sit down at the harp and learn this piece! I played it for my 85 year old mother over the weekend and she was so relaxed it put her to sleep, so I just kept playing it gently over and over again. Good practice for me and good nap for her 😍

Loved this course, such a beautiful arrangement! Lots of practice for 4 note chords which is what I really needed help with–had stopped some more advanced courses because I was having difficulty with them but feel I can try some of them again!

I did my listening work while looking at the music. I wrote in a few notes because section I is so high, and some bass notes. By the time I got through the videos I had kept going to the end every time, so, for the first time I got through the whole song in one night! Tomorrow I will play it backwards, and I love this song so! It was much easier than it sounds! Well Done, Christy-Lyn! Thank you! The counting out loud is best part, I can do it!

I was having so much fun learning this that I went through all the way in one day! Now time to brush up and hopefully memorize this.
oh… your “challenge” from the section C (joining sections), I think you played ACEG at measure 11 instead, but still sounded great 😀
